N-Acetyl-l-cysteine NAC

N-acetyl-l-cysteine (NAC) is a derivative of the amino acid l-cysteine, a sulfur-containing amino acid that is vital to the production of glutathione, an important antioxidant. In addition to supporting the production of glutathione, NAC is itself an antioxidant and free-radical scavenger and supports healthy lung function by thinning mucus. NAC may also be used to effectively support normal liver detoxification.
